This set of 3D-printed components transforms a standard Quick Ratchet Clamp into a simple yet effective vise. While it’s not meant for heavy-duty tasks, it’s perfect for lighter jobs like soldering and assembly work.
The Quick Ratchet Clamp I used has a beam measuring 19mm in width, 6mm in thickness and 375mm length (http://www.bgstechnic.com/en/catalog/product/view/id/463067). You don't need to modify any part of the clamp. You can easily restore the original state at any time.
They can be printed without any support. Enable “bridge function” in slicer.
The jaws are removable and should be printed with 100% infill.
Putting everything together is straightforward: simply remove one part from your clamps and slide the 3D-printed parts onto the metal beam as on the photo. Use rubber bands to pull the vice apart with the handle together.
You can add rubber pads under legs to prevent the vise from slipping.
