Similar to original but avoids need for stand and zip-ties. I also made it parametric as I wanted it in different sizes.

Sizes
- Small: 38x40x65mm; comparable to https://www.printables.com/model/163301-seedling-starter-planter
- Medium: 47x49x94mm
- Large: 54x58x125mm; comparable to original
- Chunky: 54x58x94mm; like large version but shortened to medium height
Note: Drip tray and lock slider are the same for large and chunky size.
3MF files are only included for one example of each size (the 3mf files are rather large). For all other options i only added the step files (but modern slicers can anyway import them. I added the 3mf files mostly for the web preview)
Also note that both halves are in the same file. This means you will need to tell the slicer to consider them as separate objects to print them separated (e.g.: in orca slicer right click → split → to objects. Followed by clicking the auto distribution button)
Lock Slider Fit
Included are for all sizes are versions with 100µm and 50µm interference or clearance, as well as one with 0 clearance (no suffix in name). You may need to experiment which one works best for you.
For me the 50µm interference worked well for large/chunky, but the one with 0 clearance was the best option for small and medium.
Printing
I used a 0.4mm nozzle for all parts with 0.4mm line width.
I printed everything in PETG (Nobufil gray and blue for the shells, fillamentum orange for the lock sliders)
I printed the shells with 2 walls and 0 infill. I also kept the brim which was auto added by orca slicer (I never tried it without).
The trays I printed with enough walls to have the side wall solid. I used 6 bottom and top layers. I did this to get it water tight (seems to have worked so far).
The lock sliders were printed with enough walls to completely fill them. I also painted on the seam somewhere on the outside to have a more consistent fit.
Parameterization
I used freecad 0.21.2 for creating the files.
The parameters are defined in the dynamic data object (dd object in the tree view).
If you want to change the sizes start with a base that is close to your target (I uploaded my files for all included sizes for that reason).
I got it to be reasonably robust, but of course if you change a parameter too much you might run into invalid geometries (e.g.: if you make the cells too small to fit the currently selected number of ribs).
