I always found the stock motor mount to be rather lacking. It always started twisting no matter how much I tightened the screws. Not only that, but the motor itself would rotate inside the mount as well. So, I made this new mount to fix those issues.
There is much more stability, as the mount cradles the entire motor front to back. More mounting points ensure it will not twist in place. The optional motor shaft lock prevents the motor from rotating inside the mount and helps keep the motor completely locked in.
Print Settings
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Perimeters: 2 or 3
- Motor Mount Infill: 15% Gyroid
- Shaft Lock Infill: 100%
- Material: PLA or PETG
