Why
I loved the design and function of the original, but the little printed pegs on the bottom side designed to hold in the rubber band in place snapped on mine.
What
I very slightly modified the original file to make the base thick enough to support a M3x3mm socket head cap screw inserted to a M3x3.75Dx5L heat set insert. I also made the TPU spring print a bit thicker to match the base geometry thickness. See images for clarification.
I printed in PolyLite ASA with a 0.4 Nozzle using the 0.20mm Standard @BBL X1C profile. I also slowed down the bridge speed to 20 mm/s.
Assembly
The file prints the same as the original with the print in place design. Once completed, you can use (2) M3x5Lx4.2D heat set inserts (I bought these from AliExpress in bulk). I then installed (2) M3x3mm Socket Head Cap Screws. The rubber band then slides around the heads of the screws.
