I love the original design it's quiet and smooth. I recently put an enclosure around my MKSS+ and didn't want to give up on this great design. So I designed a custom frame with a large foot print with an optional m8 x 100mm screw with m8x10x10 threaded insert down the center of the roller for increased rigidity. Topped off with a printed cap on the end. I also put 2mm thick self-adhesive grip tape on the bottom which really sticks this to the surface and won't slide around at all but is easily popped off with a little tug at an angle.
Uses 2 6805-2RS bearings.
