This model was made after I had done the same for a couple of MacMini's that i'm hosting in a server-room.

Like the MacMini's, the MS Surface Devkit is an Arm64 device that doesnt come in an easily rack-mountable formfactor.

This clip is designed to support the MS Surface Devkit so it doesnt fall over sideways when it's positioned vertically.

The ‘shelf’ it's designed to clip onto is made of thin metal and has a 10x10mm ‘lip’ along the front.

Another version (untested) is provided which should work well on typical 18mm furniture-shelves.

The FreeCad file comes with a spreadsheet where you can alter the dimensions of the ‘bracket’, including the cable-slot, but not the position of the foot-hole.

In particular, ‘plank_thickness’ and ‘clip_flat_depth’ are important.

For the 10x10mm lip, the flat edge is only 8mm long before there's the ‘ridge’ that provides clamping pressure.

For the 18mm shelf, I've opted to make the total space 20mm and provide 15mm of flatness before the ridge. It may be that a little more clamping-pressure is needed.
