Grain Sieve Set
As a scientific researcher in a wheat lab we needed some sieves for sorting wheat grain into specific size categories. Commercially available grain sieves from scientific suppliers can cost £170 per sieve! As a cost effective solution I designed these simple sieves made of two stackable universal outer pieces and inserts with different apertures.
All sieve apertures have a length of 20mm as this seems standard for grain sieves. Sieve aperture widths range from 1mm - 4mm (in 0.5mm increments), so these should be applicable to multiple crops.
This is my first attempt at any sort of 3D modeling and printing so please feel free to offer feedback and to make adaptations to the design.
