A simple and compact adapter for the leatherman raptor trauma shears.
Usage
Unscrew the belt/Molle loop from the shears holder, print the adapter, attach the klickfast adapter using the original screw and attach to a klickfast dock.
Recommended Printing:
0.20mm layer height
100% infil
Use normal supports (snug style works for me)
Orient on long side (see image)
Use PETG, ABS, PC or PA for best results
Material Testing
Initially tested with PLA but the material would wear too quickly when turning the stud.
Moved on to ABS which was significantly better but lacked the shear strength in the column/standoff. Print orientation should make this better but not solve the issue.
Finally tested with PC, printing in the default and better orientation with fantastic results. None of my test PC prints have broken thus far but more, longer testing is needed.
The model should fit snug and offer some resistance when turning; ensure printer has good dimensional accuracy. If too snug or doesn't fit, try scaling the model by a very small amount to find a happy middle ground.
