I absolutely love the YEHW nerf-style revolver, but it was such a pain to reload that I designed this mechanism for swapping out barrels for super fast reloading. It loses a bit of power because I didn't add o-rings or anything, but still stronger than normal nerf guns of its size.

Replace the “Base” component of the original YEHW files with “Swappable_Barrel_Base”. You don't need to print the “MuzzleFlat” or “MuzzleLong” components, instead print “Swappable_Barrel_Seal_Snap” and screw that into the base after attaching the elastic for the rotating drum. The screws need to be flush, so you may have to crank on them hard until they are level.

Print barrels for half length (38mm) or full length darts. They are VERY slightly tapered to make sure darts stay in place, but don't get stuck. Don't be stupid like me and print the barrels on a textured plate, use a flat plate for a better seal (and maybe use ironing for the seal component? Untested).

You should not need supports for any of the components.

Inserting the barrels is a simple push-and-twist mechanism, it may be very stiff the first time but you should feel a satisfying click and get a nice sound. It gets less stiff over time, but after a good amount of use mine still holds the barrels well and feels sturdy. If it gets too loose for you just re-print the seal and replace the old one.

If you can't get your barrels to fit, change the height of the seal until it's snug but not impossible.

I printed everything out of regular old PLA, but you could try different materials. TPU for the seal might be interesting, though the “click” probably won't be as nice.

There are included links to attach full length barrels together to make belts (they also have enough space between barrels you can load them while linked), and a picatinny rail with a clip on it to hold a full length barrel.
