A very naive design made by someone with no idea how to project a camera, keep in mind before printing.

I've developed this camera as a winter project to passa time and learn more advance feature of fusion360. I have no idea how a large format camera is supposed to be designed I've just went with what I deemed more logical and functional.
To build this camera you will need:
- A bellow, I've used a 4x5 TOYO camera bellow made by this seller on ebay https://www.ebay.it/itm/275621261783?var=576881729717 it's a bit too long for it but it works and it's the only affordable one I've found
- Two 200mm MGN9 H linear rails https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32806622073.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.30.412b1802M4ip6T
- A bunch of M6 Hex Head bolts https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32968601031.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.40.412b1802M4ip6T
- A lot of M2-M3-M4-M6 Hex Socket Head Cap Screws https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006490861133.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.55.412b1802M4ip6T
- KP08(8mm) Bore Ball Bearing Pillow Block Mounted Support https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006492163406.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.50.412b1802M4ip6T
- One T8 Anti-backlash Lead Screw and an 8mm diameter screw threaded rod of at least 150mm, if you can buy those two thing together because lead and pitch are all over the place
- M2-M3-M4-M6 Heated inserts, I've used fairly standard size for all dimension so any should be fine. I've used the M2-M4 kit from this link https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004833883758.htmlspm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.370.412b1802M4ip6T (be carefull because the last two cell of the M2 row are actually M2.5), while the M6 insert are 9mm ED 8mm H.
- 3mm elastic rope https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003652662608.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.52106874158MMq&algo_pvid=0956606f-702a-48cf-920b-8581a25f7b46&algo_exp_id=0956606f-702a-48cf-920b-8581a25f7b46-1&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21EUR%211.83%211.83%21%21%211.93%211.93%21%4021039f3e17203562696135375e7b5c%2112000026659754089%21sea%21IT%21717962917%21&curPageLogUid=H3cjfvWGJoH0&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A
Assembly of the camera is fairly easy. The bellow is mounted in a similarly to a Standard 4x5 camera, the only difference is that I've used insert because I found it more pratical, use very short screws here, 4-5mm max.
Use M3 insert everywhere except the stop on the back of the rear frame, and the T8 nut mount on the carriage (those take M2), the bore ball is M4 and so are the lateral rear frame support (for this I've added only one STL, you will have to mirror it) on the main plate. The carriage, the plate and the hinges take M6 insert.
Since I was unable to find an insert with the right pitch and lead for a camera tripod screw you will need to print and adapter to mount the camera, if you have and hold tripod to cannibalize just attach the fast release plate to the bottom of the camera with a 3mm M6 screw.
The knobs are heat fitted and they seem to hold very well, the only one that do not need heat are the one for the rear frame, just slide the hex nut in add a little glue and the cap.
Lastly the carriage, I've designed it with holes to match the ones on the rails, but you really need 2 or 3 to secure them, I've noticed that the tolerance is so low that it's actually preferrable to use just 2 screw (and insert) for rails. Otherwise the fit will be too tight and the rails won't move.
I doubt I will improve on this design, if you are not satisfed with you are free to improve it, or do just like me and buy an Intrepid after this one break.
Buona luce!
