To fit in an apple or more of what ever you want to mix with the bottom compartment, I design an extender to increase the capacity of the top compartment.
The fit of the transparent lit is quiet tight but using the lit as some kind of threading tap, theading it in and out a few times, makes it fit very securely.
Print it upside down (as oriented in the file) and use auto tree supports to make the thread consistent. Their overhang is quiet steep.
