I needed a wall mountable spool holder, but all of the existing options needed a bigger print bed than my A1 Mini has. Inspired by the quick change TP holder, I created a mount that:
- Prints in place
- Doesn't require support
- Left and right sides can be printed together on one A1 Mini plate
- Uses minimal filament (~25g per side)
If your mounting arms don't free fall back to horizonal by themselves, work the arms back and forth with some pressure to smooth out the internal bumps. This is common with print in place joints and should smooth out within a a minute or two of working it.
Printed with:
- .28 layer height
- 15% infill
- 2 walls
- The STLs are already oriented correctly
- print with the rounded knob pointed up
- No support needed
- Depending on how much your filament peels at the corners, a brim could be necessary to stop the small front plate from disconnecting during printing
