This is a mount to use a LED strip as a backlight for your Displate.
Additional Parts
To build the backlight, like in the pictures, you need:
- Ws2812b LED strip (can be a different one, if you prefer another)
- ESP32 running WLED (see WLED homepage)
- removable adhesive strips (e.g., Tesa Powerstrips)
- Additional displate magnetic strip (can be bought from Displate shop, but there are cheaper alternatives)
- phone charging cable, or additional 5V power supply for brighter lights (see below)
If you want brighter lights, you can use a 5V power supply and attach it to the LED strip, instead of providing power to the ESP32.
Print Notes
When printing, you can split the print and add a dove tail in prusa slicer.
Alternate Version
There is a version with a slight offset to the wall in its center. It can be used, if you already have a Displate magnet installed and don't want to remove it. It's also used in the pictures.
