I have been using this on my Voron 2.4 printer for over 300 hours now and it's going great! One small problem is I accidentally broke off the reset button and had to improvise when flashing it. It's possible putting it into the mount broke off the button but I am not sure.
According to the Orbitool manual, functional operational max ambient temp is 60C. With active cooling, the ambient temp can be up to 80C. My chamber runs 70-75C, so I designed a mount for a little 3010 toolboard fan since it also has a pin for it.
The mount is designed for ABS/ASA, its very close to the extruder motor so anything less heat resistant than ABS/ASA will probably melt. No supports needed, print is in the correct orientation. Printed with Voron standard settings.
-Add M3x5x4 heat sets in the side holes on the back plate
-Push filament sensor onto orbiter
-Attach Orbiter to hex spacers like usual
-Put back plate onto hex spacers (spacers should go through the holes), install sensor bridge, add orbitool board lining up the bridge pins, you can adjust the back plate a little to have it just barley not touching the motor, hold it up to a light to see light between the board and motor
-Add M3x8 screws to screw orbitool board onto spacers
-3010 Fan gets sandwiched between the fan parts (blowing toward the long sticking out parts) with the cable coming out of the little cutout space
-Plug everything into orbitool that you need to plug in (you cant get to the connectors with the fan in place) the fan will be TFan
-Screw mounted fan onto back plate heat sets through the long channels, I cant remember the size, but I think it was M3x25, possibly M3x30
Feel free to ask questions, this is kind of a mess lol
I very carefully drilled out the filament input area of the filament sensor so I could fit a standard ECAS in there so it holds onto the reverse bowden tube, its optional but I feel like the sensor sucks without it because the tube pops out sometimes. I also mutilated the cable that came with orbitool so it wouldnt stick straight up. I curved it around and into a cable gland on my orbiter mount, but you can do whatever you like with that cable. Mine is printed in Polymaker ASA in Pop Pink, and the front of my Stealthburner is Pop Blue. Bubbles are my design, because this printer is named Bubble and I love it
