Updated 4/12/2025: Corrected the single d series model and added model for True1 pass through.
This is a 2 gang box intended to be used as a portable outlet box, as you tend to see in the entertainment industry. A few friends didn't like my previous design, and prefer a more standard "quad box" style.
Uploaded are 3 box options - one that takes a standard ¾ NPT threaded strain relief (I plan to use the Heyco M3462, but have none on hand). The other two should have the correct holes to take any D Series panel mount plug, which allows for the use of powerCON or True1 connectors. One has a single hole, while the other has a second hole intended for passing through.
The outlet holes are threaded for a standard 6-32 screw (ships with outlets) and the D Series holes are threaded for 4-40 screws - no inserts or nuts should be needed.
I've been printing in PLA for my testing, but will be switching to either PETG or ABS/ASA for the finished product for durability. If I had the means, I would print the majority of the box in PETG, with the outer 1/8" being TPU as an over mold, but my P1S/AMS can't do that.
If you're looking to make one for yourself, here's where I get my parts:
True1 Female: Mouser
True1 Male: Mouser
Strain Relief: Mouser
Outlet Mounting Screw (6-32x5/8): McMaster
Outlet Face Plate Screw (6-32x1/4): McMaster
D Series Screw (4-40x1/2): McMaster
Outlets: Home Depot
