I never had any experience with stock front idlers (SFI) or Rama's front idlers (RFI) as I remixed this Clee's beefy front idlers (BFI) while I'm building my printer. So this is the only front idler ever assembled on my printer. I really liked the design approach of the BFI but the looks leave room for improvement.
Even the remixed design looks a little bit bulkier than original design, it's still more compact compared to SFI so no need to worry about losing any travel distance.
