I bought a few Heltec boards and wanted to print some cases.
Found a few already on Printables but i found a few problems: there are big, hard to print or not fitting the bigger antennas that were in my kit.
The goal for this case was:
- Really small
- A loop to hang it
- Support bigger antenna
So how small is it?
Compared to the H1 case it is a few mm smaller in the height and length
Parts needed:
- A Heltec board (i bought this set)
- 2x heat set inserts M3 X D4.6 X L5.0
- 2x M3 8mm socket heat bolt
This is probably the first version of this housing because it is not perfect yet. But before making a new version, i want to use it a while to know what changes are needed but some i can think of now:
- The loop can be a bit bigger
- Support for seeing to light also with less transparent filament
- The routing of the antenna cable is a bit hard
- Make a version that can fit a battery and/or gps
