As an Apple Repair Technician, I am required to run a calibration process for the actuator that provides the “click” that the Trackpad (in a Mac laptop) creates when pressed. To do this, weights are placed at specific points on the Trackpad, using small rubber mats as a guide for placement. (Different models have different sizes of Trackpad, and there are several different mat sizes, as well as two different weights.)
This box has been designed provide storage for the rubber mats and keep them straight, as well as the two weights. While this has been designed for a specific purpose (and for very specific sized parts!), anyone who works with these tools will probably find it useful — and it might also be adapted for other uses.
