The very awesome ground anchor mounts nearly everything securely to the ground. Everything should be printed with 3 or more wallloops.
The Anchor:
I made two versions of the anchor, one in M8 and one in 5/16-18. The rest is metric but you should be able to find something in a similar size. The threaded god goes thru the hole anchor and provides strength that way. You will need about 140mm (~5.5”) of threaded rod per anchor. The anchor should withstand at least 100kg (200lbs) of pulling force.
There are 3 versions of every anchor. They differ in diameter, the _5p one is 5% and the _10p is 10% oversized. Because the fitments depend on your Printer and Slicer I would suggest to print a cut version of the three to find the one that fits the best.
For optimal performance the Rod should be bit difficult two screw in so it can support the layers the best. I would also suggest that you use a snugger one and some grease to make it easier.
To screw the rods in faster I put them in the chuck of a power drill, it is fine if the printed anchor get warm, just don’t stop until it is all the way in.
To screw the anchor into the ground you can use a 22mm (7/8”) Wrench and/or the Tool below.
The Hookloop:
It is made to be printed on the side. You can reinforce it with a cable tie.
The Tool:
You need:
- 4x M4x45mm Screws for the Body
- 8x M3x10mm Screws
- 10x M3 Square nuts
It is designed for a 23mm (29/32’’) Socket, to be used on a power drill. I can use the highest torque limiting setting on mine without breaking something.
