Hello,

Last year while looking for a good and cheap way to transport some miniatures on a airplane, I discovered there was really no good options for those of use who want to use magnetic trays. So I selected the cheapest option for a carry-on bag, which was Battle Foam's sword bag. I purchased it without the foam inserts, and then built a 3d printable rack system that can be inserted inside the bag and use trays that I bought from amazon (link below).

I had no idea how to use fusion360, so I taught myself how to use it and printed a prototype, which I then refined and printed and use. I divided the tray into 4 parts for the size of my printer (Neptune 3 pro) and used long dovetails to join them. I used PLA and used rubber cement to glue them together. there is a recess cut in the rear for a back panel if you wish to glue one in.

For those curious, I printed 4 wall loops with 10% infill and it's plenty sturdy. I would also recommend printing it face down so that the forward facing L shape is on the bed itself.

I've included all 4 pieces and the original file so you can modify the case to your liking. This was my first project so please be forgiving - im sure I did not build this thing efficiently. I plan on revisiting it at some point and redoing everything as user defined variables so you resize everything to whatever case/bag you may have.

If you have any questions or need more info / recommendations just let me know! cheers.
