Ibanez Gio Replica for 3D Printing

This model was created based on an Ibanez guitar and can be easily printed using PLA or PETG.

This project was one of my first larger endeavors that I created in Fusion 360 and on a 3D printer.

The project was realized with a Prusa MK3S.

The guitar was printed using PETG from “Recycling Fabrik” in the colors “Gute Nacht,” “Saurer Apfel,” and “Blutige Orange”. Approximately 1.5 kg of black, 100 g of green, and 400 g of red filament were used.

You can download the complete guitar as well as separated into individual parts for printing on a standard-sized print bed.

The print files are organized according to the infill that I used. For the body, I used 60% infill for stability, although I believe it would work fine with 30-40% as well. The outlines were printed with 100% infill to provide rigidity to the frame. The hexagon and hand were printed with 30% infill each, which could likely be reduced.

All parts were glued together using superglue.

In the two blocks that house the pickups, two holes were included to allow two 3mm threaded rods, each 14cm long, to be inserted. This helps to reinforce the structure against the tension of the strings.

The hand can be replaced with custom symbols. A circle with a diameter of 75mm served as the basis for this.
