It can hold four, maybe five clamps. To make it a bit more stable you can screw a 4mm screw into the back. I added a hole for it.

I made the bottom out of wood. 4 M3 threaded rods with 1 metre are scrwed into the bottom. The lid fits the end of the 4 rods to avoid that anyone pokes out the eye. Can not describe it better, just look at the photos.
