The phoenix is a mythological bird that has the ability to be reborn from its own ashes after death. This legendary creature has roots in Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythologies. Over time, the legend of the phoenix grew through different…
I've been inspired from learning more about Mesoamerican Mythologies, and it seems as though the jaguar plays an important role across many of the cultures including the Aztec and the Maya. Since the jaguar is the largest cat in the…
The legend of the Kraken seems to have started as a myth among sailors. There are possible descriptions of the Kraken as early as the 1500s. However, the idea of it being a huge octopus took hold in the 1700s thanks to a man named Erik…
I made one of the largest creatures to have ever flown, the quetzalcoatlus. This pterosaur existed during the late Cretaceous, and was a member of the group known as the Azhdarchids. In contrast to other known pterosaurs, Azhdarchids had…
For this project, I made Fenrir: A giant wolf in Norse Mythology, and one of Loki's three children who is foretold to kill Odin during the events of Ragnarök. Fenrir is mentioned in both the Poetic Edda, and the Prose Edda through…
In the game Valheim, the first set of mage robes you're able to craft is called the Eitr-weave set. They're a nice take on a classic mage silhouette, mixing bright red fabric with leather and iron. This set also features a feather cape…
"Malice Striker" "Dread Biter" "Corpse-Tearer" These are some of the names this Dragon of the Underworld may go by. Níðhöggr is referenced in two of the Eddic poems. In the poem Grímnismál, the squirrel, Ratatoskr, runs up and down…
I made my take on a hare from the Mistlands of Valheim. These are the only passive creatures in this biome, apart from a couple fish. While maintaining fur on some parts of the body, they are largely covered in scales. I thought this…
I made my take Jörmungandr: The World Serpent from Norse Mythology. He's one of Loki's three children, and is also known as the Midgard Serpent. Jörmungandr lives in the oceans, and is said to be large enough to encircle the entire globe,…
Stone Golems are found in the Mountain biome of Valheim. They remain inactive , resembling a pile of rocks, until you venture too close. Once triggered, they attack both players and other creatures.
I made my take on the fifth boss from the game Valheim: Yagluth. In the Plains biome, there are enemies called Fulings, which have a lot of parallels to goblins, like green skin, shorter stature, and pointy ears to name a few. Yagluth is…
The serpent is my favorite monster in the game Valheim. They are snake-like sea dragons that lurk in the Ocean biome.
I made my take on the Surtling from the Swamps of Valheim. On a runestone in the game, it describes Surtlings as being the shattered remains of Surtr, a jötunn from Norse Mythology, and the greatest of the fire giants. These creatures…
I made my take on the fourth boss in the game Valheim: Moder. Moder is a giant frost dragon that can be summoned in the Mountain Biome. I guess technically, she's a "wyvern," but the game calls her a "dragon." Since her name translates to…
I made my take on a neck from the game Valheim. Necks are lizard-like creatures found in the Meadows biome. They have four eyes, lily pads along the top of their bodies, and are amphibious. For the sculpt, I just wanted to put him in a…
Drakes are flying creatures found in the Mountain biome of Valheim. They are the male offspring of the fourth boss in the game, Moder. I thought it would be cool to make one protecting a nest as the base of the model. :)
I made my take on a Greydwarf Shaman from the Black Forest biome of the game Valheim. Like the Greyling, the Greydwarf, and The Elder, the Greydwarf Shaman is another tree-like creature. They are slightly larger than the basic Greydwarf,…
I wanted to make the general base I like to use for my minis available for everyone to use! The Prism Prints logo is engraved on the bottom. :)
For this project, I made a ladybug in celebration of Spring and warmer weather. I got this idea after scrolling through some images for inspiration. When I came across a photo of a little ladybug on a dandelion holding onto the last seed,…
I designed this base for a sculpt of Frieza, and wanted to share it with you all here! :) The rock explosion base without the energy blast can be printed on an FDM printer without any supports. If printing the base with the energy blast,…
I made my take on the seventh boss from the game Valheim: Fader. Similar to Moder, the fourth boss in the game whose name is the word for "mother" in both Danish and Swedish, Fader is the word for "father" in those languages. He is a…
I made this little robot for a Shapelab VR hard surface tutorial, and wanted to share it here! :)
For this project, I made a Lavender Rhino in celebration of Pride Month! I wanted to share some of the important history that I learned about the LGBTQ+ rights movement, and why the Lavender Rhino became a symbol for the community as a…
For this project, I wanted to make something for Halloween! I drew out some ideas for a bat project, but was fixed on a cute little dumpling bat I scribbled in the corner. After trying out a few poses, I decided to make kind of a scene…
