I wanted to make a case for my chopsticks. My chopsticks are 9" (229mm) long and each one is .25" (6.35mm) diameter. I printed these standing up. Mine printed fine, but if you aren't sure of your adhesion, use a brim.
I created this stand for my iPhone 17pro that has a case. I still use USB C cables to charge. The lip on the holder is 14mm. After I printed, I stick on a couple silicon feet, but you could print some in TPU.
