Last Christmas, I realized I needed an additional vent (actually two, but this is one of them) for an electronics enclosure that ended up getting more sun than expected. I ordered one —specifically, the one that inspired this design— but it wasn’t going to arrive in time, so I quickly made this one.

When installing it, you'll need to use either a gasket or some silicone around your hole. I recommend printing it in PETG at a minimum; mine survived several Queensland summer storms and direct afternoon sun when it wasn't storming last year without any issues.

The lid slides onto the base, and while you can glue it if you prefer, I haven’t. My goal was to design it so that water would be more likely to wick away from the opening rather than into it and so far, it seems to have worked.

This design allows you to print the base face-down (screw side up) with no need for supports or extensive clean-up. The lid prints flat side down and should slot into place from the top, and they fit together smoothly.
