This is a a motorized base for https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:66708
I remixed the base at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:78218 to make the top part that interfaces with the gears (adding a corner that matches the base so it stays in place), and for a short shaft with a flat face to match up with a D shaft on the motor.
I originally planned on using a Neopixel ring inside the base, but ended up not doing that. The motor driver could probably be implemented with just a 555 timer, but since I was planning on doing the LEDs, I already had it set up to use an Arduino (specifically an Arduino Pro Micro).
Code for the Arduino is at https://github.com/m000z0rz/triple-gear-motorized-base It doesn't do much - just checks a switch on the back to enable/disable the motor driver, reads the potentiometer value and uses that to drive a PWM signal for the motor, which is driven by a MOSFET.
