This is a clone of the chip bag clips my wife purchased for potato chip bags. She wanted a shorter version for smaller bags so I made this. Why a two-piece model you ask? I wanted to copy the original version as close as I could because we know they work. The one-piece versions I have found are larger in diameter.
To assemble:
- insert the center rod into the cover at the end with the two small holes
- align the tab of the center rod with the slot in the cover as shown in the picture
- push the center rod into the cover and snap the rod into place.
Here are the settings I used:
- 0.12mm layer height
- Brim, outer only, 5mm width
- Support, standard, snug only for the end of the center rod with the small ball that is at an angle
- 2 walls
- PLA is recommended for the stiffness needed to slip on the bag.
I recommend printing in the default orientation of the STL files.
I have included a STL file for the 275mm body version which will work for a standard US chip bag. The printing instructions are the same.
