The “STOREHOUSE 24 Compartment Large Storage Container” from Harbor Fright Tools (SKU 94458, 61881) is pretty neat for jellybean component storage.

Whenever I get a new one, or need to consolidate many nearly-empty compartments, I end up printing a a plate full of this old model of mine since it is quick and always fits perfectly.

Not only is it efficient with material, it also closely follows the internal topology of the original storage organizer, maximizing the usable volume!

The thin walls make it ideal for pouring and scooping up components as well, making sorting a breeze!

Two types provided:
  • Half-bin (25mm x 50mm x 40mm)
  • Dual quarter-bin (25mm x 25mm x 40mm  x2)
Tip:
  • Print with 0.15mm layer height (or variable layer height) for better overhang performance in the curve.
  • Printing a plate (8-20pc) of these at a time is always going to be faster than printing them a couple at a time due to most slicer's desire to slow down on short layers to promote better part cooling. i.e. (Eight half-bins will take 3hrs on a Prusa MK3s, while just two will take just over an hour).
  • Remember to stay hydrated!
