Print all the parts in colors you like (should be yellow and black or dark grey) and glue the parts printed from the ‘bee body’ folder using a hot glue or superglue. I printed it from yellow and dark green color plastics and fixed the parts with superglue.
The wings of the bee (“bee_wing_flat.stl” or “bee_wing_flat.step” ) are flat, but you can shape them using a hot fan to curve them a little bit. You can print 2 or 4 wings and stick them into the slots on the "bee_body_p1.stl" or "bee_body_p1.step" body part (I printed 4 ).
Optionally you can try to print the curved models of the bee wings, which I actually designed only for the picture rather than printing (see files “bee_wing_v.stl” or “bee_wing_curved.step” ). If you gonna print the curved wings, for that you'll definitely need the supports.
Two other parts, which I recommend to print with supports:
- “bee_body_p1.stl” or “bee_body_p1.step”
- “bee_head.stl” or “bee_head.step”
For the rest of the parts NO SUPPORTS NEEDED
The parts from the "bee eye parts STL" or "bee eye parts STL" folders need to be fixed together using a hot glue or superglue - that are the eyes of the bee, which then should be glued to the head of the bee ('bee_head.stl' / 'bee_head.step' ). Actually "bee_eye_1_1.stl" / "bee_eye_1_1.step" parts can be printed from white plastic, but I printed them from yellow plastic because of the rules in “Dual-colour single extruder” contest.
Put the toothpicks inside the bee body. Screw up the head of the bee ('bee_head.stl' / 'bee_head.step' ) and use it.
To get the toothpick from the bee holder, just shake it a little bit and you'll get the toothpick from the side, where usually the bee sting appears )))
