I really like this unique creative mechanism for a wallet. I just had a small niggle with it.
I found the grip doesn't quite have enough friction, which makes it a little difficult to use one handed. So I've modified the grip to make the notches deeper, with a squarer edge. I've also added the same grip to the base. This makes the sliding much easier.
These modifications don't require support, or any other changes. Print as per the original model.
Once printed, I found that a light sand of all the sliding/moving parts and surfaces really help make sliding easy. I also sprayed some silicon lubricant on the sliding parts. This also really helps the wallet slide very easy and smooth!
(ignore the messy finish of my wallet in the photos. This was just a sped up test build, not a final product!)
EDIT: I have removed the modified cascade part due to it possibly being an issue with my printer, not the original model. Will confirm with further testing.
