Two identical pieces snap securely together to form a ball. When putting it together you have to make sure all four lips are simultaneously over the opposing edge. Then it will slide and click into place. Taking it apart can be a little tricky. My nephew found that dropping it 6-12 inches often did the trick. He refers to it as his Pokemon ball.
Printing:
I suggest printing with zero infill and two layers of wall thickness. It can be printed without support, but the lower edge of the curve might be a little rough. I suggest printing in PETG, which is more flexible for repeated use.
