The plastic part of a letterbox key (aMail = analog mail) was broke over the years. So I:
- removed the old plastic junk
- took the mesures with caliper scale
- started TinkerCad
- made a design, where the old key was completely embedded
- sliced with Prusa Slicer
- grabbed a roll of olive PETG CF
- printed on my MK3s+ (ca. 10 minuted until it paused for adding “ballbearings etc.”
- could not insert the blank key, so I interrupted this print
- fine-tuned the design by a hair (0.1mm here and there)
- sliced and printed again
- NOW IT CAME OUT FINE!
You may not have an exact application like this, but you might have an idea what you could fix in your house, neighbourhood or life!
Happy wife, happy life!
