I designed it with snap off supports so that it can be printed diagonally for most stability. I do recommend some additional tree supports like shown in the picture.
The cap can easily be printed standing as it only sits on top of the case itself.
It's designed to friction fit which works really well for me.
Also the battery holder itself slides in just perfectly so that it doesn't rattle around.
As you can see I use the case on my airsoft helmet (yes I will put some camo on it in the future), so I made it quite sturdy and printed it out of PETG.
