Making of porch light insert - start off with a measurement of your porch light glass.  Many porch lights are the shape of mine, but yours may vary. If you have different porch light insert shapes, simply measure your shape.  If it is square insert a 4mm cube of the dimension to match your existing porch light glass.  If it is a trapezoid, insert a trapezoid, so you can shape the sides independently.  Make it 4mm high. Then use a plane to cut bezels into the porch light side - this will make them look more elegant.  The bezel should be an inch wide on each side, leaving a flat in the center of your new panel.  Then take one of the shapes in the files here (they are separable) and insert it into your new panel design. Position it so it sticks above your panel, but is below the top of the panel. When you print them, you will insert a color change at the point the shape extends above the panel.  Another slicing trick is give the first layer a color that you willl want to permeate the rest of your panel once it is lit up.

Use a clear filament.  make the first layer a hilbert curve bottom infill - this will make your panel sparkle.  For the top layer, choose something that adds some light bending (it will be slight).  Archemedian chords does a  nice circular moon effect.
