This mini under desk drawer is perfect for storing small valuables (like USB drives, microSD cards…) that are otherwise thrown around the desk and the push to open and close makes it quite practical.

In my original design I am using springs from ball point pens to add additional push and resistance when opening and closing, but after using this drawer for a while, it seems like you don't actually need springs, so I provided two versions of the drawer holder, one with and one without springs.

You can glue the door lock mechanism pin to the back of the drawer, but if your print has good quality, you can just press fit it in its place.

Use a lighter and warm the middle of the drawer brake and bend it a bit, so it sticks out of the bottom of the drawer after you glue it on it place. This is so that it can catch on the drawer holder beam, to prevent you to fully remove the drawer in normal use. If you want to remove the drawer from the holder, you can just press on the free end of the drawer brake and you will be able to remove the drawer. Check the images to see how it should look.

I used M3 x 15mm stainless steel wood screws to attach it under my desk.
