As I was renovating the kitchen I have decided to hide the kitchen extractor ducting inside of the ceiling and the wall.

Unfortunately not all of the off the shelf ducting parts were fitting to my requirements and I have found some space restrictions  and therefore making custom solution was a necessary.

These parts are expected to be exposed to steam and therefore I didn't want to take any chances and decided to print all of the ducting parts were printed from material that can sustain exposure to higher temperatures so I have selected PET-CF, however ABS or ASA might be also adequate. As for the clips to hold the ducting that was printed just from ordinary PETG.

The 254x64 ducting was the largest I could fit to my mk4s prusa printer and the 64mm will still allows to have some high performance insulation to be fitted between the ducting and the outside wall to minimize a cold bridge and prevent condensation on the wall where the ducting is in cold months.

As a good measure I have also wrapped the printed parts that are on the outside wall in an aluminum foil to ensure the steam wouldn't be blowen in to the wall insulation.

The collection of files contains:

150mm round to 220x90 rectangular 90 degree bend

150mm round to 254x64 rectangular 90 degree bend

254x64 straight connection

220x90 to 254x64 over the stud connection

220x90 clips to secure the ducting to the floor above and the stud from the side.
