A thing to center a workpiece on the PantoRouter using the iGaging Digital Multi Gauge. Requires OpenSCAD to modify the source code and specifying some variables.
Instructions
This is actually a two piece thing. It works by mounting the two pieces on the PantoRouter table and they act as a stop when placing the gauge. The OpenSCAD code must be modified to exactly fit your table setup. It is important to modify the variable distanceBetweenGaugeHeightAndCenterOfTable for a perfect fit.
There are two versions. Since the gauge has a limited measuring range of 6 inches you might find it useful to print out additional stops with an offset so you may measure further up the table. You will find an example of this in the source code.
Print out as you normally do. No special settings needed.
Variables to modify in the source code
// Modify this variable so the height of the gauge plus this value equals the center of the table.
// This is the most important setting for centering your workpiece. Value in mm.
distanceBetweenGaugeHeightAndCenterOfTable = 25.6;
// Modify this variable to make the grooves thinner or thicker for a looser or tighter fit.
grooveThickness = 8.0;
// Thickness of the plate in mm. This value works fine.
plateThickness = 5;
// Height of the grooves in mm. No need to change really.
grooveHeight = 6;
