This adds a carbon filter stage to the WINIX C610 air purifier (sold at Costco). The stock purifier effectively only has a HEPA filter.
Fill the device with acid-free activated carbon. MAKE SURE TO FILL IT TO THE BRIM, or else airflow will take the path of least resistance and bypass the majority of the carbon.
Fill using the provided funnel, and close the device using the two provided slide-in caps.
If your carbon is dusty, you can fill the device first, and rinse in the sink until the water turns clear. Shake with an up-down motion to get rid of as much water as possible while minimizing any carbon falling out of the filter holes (depends on the size of your pellets). The easiest way to complete the drying process by just putting it in the air purifier with max airflow overnight, which is conveniently where the filter should be in the first place.
I had the best luck printing with PLA due to all the gaps and bridges. No supports are needed.
