My closet rack support gave out under the weight of my jackets and my girlfriend's dresses, and I'm not sure if I can find something in the store that'll fit so I just modeled and printed this thing.
It's modeled to be assembled from the front and back for 2 reasons:
- I didn't want to take off the rod's side mounts and risk the screw holes getting loose.
- I wanted the screws to take some of the weight of the clothes.
I probably should've added chamfers but it's already printed so eh.
Non-printed parts:
- 2 x 1.5 inch wood screws to connect the front and back faces
- 8 x 1 inch wood screws to affix to the top of the closet (you could probably get away with just using 2 screws on each side but I wanted it as strong as possible to avoid failure)
Rod's diameter is ¾ of an inch.
Distance from the bottom of the rack/rod from the top of the closet is around 2.5 inches.
hopefully this relieves the strain on your closet racks and on your relationships as well :)
