I used this tool to hold cut corks to use as bases for place cards at my wedding. The jig helps hold a cork in place to cut a flat on the bottom then a slit on the top to slide the card into. The two holes at the front of each tube are used to slide a 2.5mm Allen wrench into which acts as a stop to keep the cork from pulling out while you cut. The hole on the left side allows you to stick the Allen wrench in and push the cork to the right for some of the ones with smaller diameters. Once you cut the flat on the left you can remove the cork and put in into the right tube to cut the slit. The two ears on either side are clamping surfaces to hold it firmly on your bench or table. I used a Husky mitre saw with about a 1mm kerf.

I cut about 150 corks with this jig and found that it is sized to snugly fit most cork sizes, you may just have to use the hole on the left wall to push some of the thinner ones to one side.
