This Raspberry Pi Camera module case is part of the Raspberry Pi-based open-source data collection project. More information can be found at the Github Repository link below:

https://github.com/hleve/rpi_data_collection

This module is intended to act as a sensor module that connects to the main computing module through a ribbon cable. In its current state, it is intended to be mounted to the brim of a hat to allow the use of a single camera and a double prism setup to capture facial and environmental information. Version 1 of this model uses a single camera angled at 21 degrees to capture facial information for sentiment analysis.

To split the view from a single camera to gather data from the environment and facial analysis, two 10mm 45-degree prisms are used. One is placed at 45 degrees to point the camera view out at 90 degrees from the camera's orientation, and the other is placed at 15 degrees to shift the view of the camera 30 degrees towards the center of the face from the position on the hat.

10mm 45-degree prisms can be found on Amazon here:

Please note that although the listing shows two prisms, it only includes one, so you still need to purchase two.

This project can be printed in PLA, but for better UV resistance for outdoor use, ASA is the recommended material.
