Vanderhall Carmel 3rd Brake light housing – This 3D Print file will only fit the Carmel model with the larger roll bar diameter not the Venice. It is designed to accept a standard Vanderhall brake light (Not included) to match the other two existing brake lights. You will also need to print the TPU spacers to take up the extra space. The angled hole TPU set worked for me due to the space between bars changing as you went up higher. Assembly also requires 4 screws #4x5/8” Zinc Plated Philips Head Sheet Metal Screws. I got mine form Home Depot. I used 1” long but I feel 5/8” long would possibly be better. After printing part make sure to clean out the screw holes possibly with a small drill bit.
The part does require supports while printing. I had difficulty making the bottom very smooth but it does face down and is not very visible.
The bolts on the light do need to be trimmed down. I used a grinder with a cut off wheel. Stick the light in the printed mount and see how much bolt needs to be cut off. The recessed area for the nuts is covered by another print. The “Back Cover” print is printed for this purpose and can be secured with Velcro or glue if wanting permanent. Note the back cover I am sharing does not include the logo as it is probably trademarked.
Because this printing and assembly is more complicated, I only recommend it for the DIY type person. I do not have instructions for wiring the light as I am not selling a kit. I am sharing this for free to print yourself but not for commercial use or resale. Donations are welcome. Message me for PayPal. Commercial license may also be available for a price.
