MAKE SURE TO MATCH MAGNETS UP BEFORE GLUING THEM IN!

I made a modular-style fly-tying carry case that can store; beads, hooks, spools, and tools.

I used PLA, 25% infill, and either snug or organic supports when needed.

Other plastics can be used!

You may need to mess around with the supports in your slicer software to make it easier to remove them.

Magnets used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0936M3WPK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title (5x2.8mm)

Magnets Needed
  • Hook Module: 13 magnets
  • Each Hook Drawer: 1 magnet
  • Beads Module: 10 magnets
  • Spools, and Tools Column Module: 11 magnets
  • Hair Stacker Column Module: 12 magnets
  • Inserts for Spools, Tools, and Hair Stacker: 1 magnet
  • Scissors/Tools Module: 22 magnets
  • Carry Case Module: [still being worked on]

I inserted thin adhesive magnets in each drawer to keep the hooks from being thrown around.

MAKE SURE TO MATCH MAGNETS UP BEFORE GLUING THEM IN!

Go wild and leave any feedback!

(The photos have some test modules (in green and without printed words on top). Those are not the final modules!)

The modular Carry Case is being worked on still. The handle had to be cut in slicer program and glued on. May make it separate from the body and have it screwed on if it does not support the weight.

The number of modules you will be able to store in the case is pictured in the last 3 pictures!

(the bottom of the carry case will hold my fly vice!) - figuring out dimensions still
