I couldn't help myself! I absolutely had to have a custom case for all the accessories that come with a Yihua 948 solder suction station (the standalone suction station, not combined with any soldering tools). If you absolutely have to see all your accessories sitting in their very own storage slots, this case is for you!
The case has storage for 4 tips even though my kit only came with 2. Based on what I found online about tips for the unit, I labelled the storage with the size of the standard tips.
The hinges are held together with small lengths of filament.
There were some tolerance errors in my print of the case, so I had to sand and drill in a few places to correct them. I've made adjustments to the model to correct these problems but since I haven't printed the revised model, I can't guarantee I got it right. If you print this model, please post your make and let me know if you had any problems with it.
Almost no supports are required if you print the parts in the orientation shown in the pictures. Only the “locking tab” on the front of the bottom portion required supports (it sticks out at 90 degrees), so I used a paint-on support for that. Of course if you want a 2 colour print, like mine, there will be some waste in the wipe tower.
