I wanted to avoid using batteries to power the station, so I needed a place where I could run the cables through (wires in the picture). Drilling through the supplied mounting rod was not feasible and it is not hollow, so I used a 16mm hollow square steel rod.
You need to print the adapter twice, one time for the station and one time for the mounting bracked.
