Hello!

I designed this towel hook because I wanted something simple, effective, and a little more modern than what I was finding out there. It’s a sleek, minimalist towel hook that uses a ball-bearing to grip the towel securely—just slip the towel under the clip, and the ball holds it in place! When you’re ready to use the towel, a gentle diagonal tug releases it with ease.

Mounting it is easy—just use double-sided tape to stick it wherever you need a towel handy. For added flexibility, I’ve created a version with a hook that hangs over cabinet doors, making it perfect for the kitchen or bathroom (and, yes, double-sided tape helps keep this version stable too).

I wanted to create something that's as easy to print as it is to use. The hooks can be printed without support if you print them upside down (like oriented in the file). You can even print the ball itself, but for the best hold, I suggest using a heavier 20mm ball bearing or marble. I hope you’ll enjoy this little design as much as I do! Feel free to customize it to fit your space and make it your own. Happy printing!

UPDATE:

I've added a small plug to cover the ball bearing hole on top, giving the hook a cleaner look and keeping crumbs and dirt out. For extra customization, I also made two versions with symbols for hand towels and dish towels—and if your printer supports multi-color printing, the symbols are separate so you can print them in a contrasting color!
