I have now many of this pleated cylinder lamp shade in my home both as lamp shade but also as dirt cheap DIY lamp.
- Same shade is used in both setups - Print it at slow speed (i'm using 20mm/s on my BambuLab) to get as transparent shade as possible. I'm using Polymaker CLEAR PETG. If you want more milky tone you can go for higher speed but ensure to be consistent or you might get groovy patterns (which can be cool too of course). I have also printed the shades in coloured PETG like pink and blue looks surprisingly cool. All prints have come out successful on Prusa Mk3s 0.6mm nozzle, BambuLab X1 0.4mm and Creality CR10S-pro 0.8 mm
Option1 (DIY lamp):
- Print one of the lamp bases so you can mount a e14 cord of your choice (i'm using these https://www.ikea.com/se/en/p/strala-cord-set-white-20366404/)
Option2 (Shade for existing lamp):
- Print the adapter (so you can change the e14 bulb without having to ask your toddler for help in the narrow shade :-). I'm using something like this one but many models will fit https://www.ikea.com/se/en/p/skaftet-table-lamp-base-nickel-plated-40404103
