The Architecture Advent Calendar lets you count the days before Christmas with four styles of historic architecture. It needs no supports, and is designed to be printed in full color using only filament changes - no multi-material printer needed.
Each side of the cube is modeled after a style of architecture: Ancient Egyptian, Roman, Mughal, and Tudor. The top of the cube is a planisphere that shows the positions of the stars on Christmas Eve when you line the outer dot up with the current time in the oval window. (Note: the star positions were calculated for 38° N latitude, your sky may vary. You probably shouldn't use this thing to navigate in any case.)
The doors in the calendar open up to reveal little compartments into which you can place candy or whatever will fit. The compartments for doors 1 through 23 are perfectly sized for Dove Promises chocolates or individually-wrapped Life Savers. The door 24 compartment fits a Ghirardelli Chocolate Mini Square.
Printing and assembly instructions are in the included PDF. Also included is an educational gift card you can print to include with the calendar. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions about printing or assembly. Enjoy, and happy holidays!
