I wanted a physical, easy way to track how I do with my habits.
Inspired by other physical slider solutions, I drew my own template.
With PrusaSlicer I added the symbols (right click on model, add SVG) and finally I printed everything on my MK4 with the virtual extruder and some manual filament changes.
In the back there are 4 holes to enter magnets with a dimension of 5x2 mm.
How to setup the multiple extruders in PrusaSlicer:
In the “Printers” tab under General, switch “Extruders” to more than one. Unter the “Custom G-Code Page” scroll down to “Tool Change G-Code” and copy paste this:
{if previous_extruder >=0 }M600{else}; No M600 for you{endif}
Thanks to the reddit user https://www.reddit.com/user/Reinventing_Wheels/ from this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/1dgib62/help_with_mk4_multi_material_with_single_extruder/.
Then its just a matter of using the paint tool of prusa slicer to get the esthetic that you want.
Have fun with it!
