In the game, one of these was stolen and illegally taken to a bad timeline, where it was sending bad things to our reality. The final puzzle was to make the dangerous journey to deactivate it. I even set up a popup canopy as a time machine, with decorations, lights, and sound.
Inspired by shows like SG1 and Agents of Shield, but not a direct copy of anything, mostly just trial and error in FreeCAD.
It was a lot of fun even though the electronics that was supposed to make it light up failed at the last minute.
I think these are the correct files I used to make it, I accidentally stashed it in some old subfolder and just now went looking for it.
The top part actually screws on, and there are holes in between the top and bottom that can be used to add lighting.
